Miel de Tahiti
Bright wild florals gathered from every flower variety of the islands — true plurifloral depth with a clean, natural finish.
Harvested in Mahina, on the island of Tahiti, by a beekeeper who follows natural and traditional methods: no sugar-feeding of the bees, no imported wax, no modern hive treatments. The harvest is smaller for it — and the honey richer. It is raw and only lightly filtered, so you may see suspended pollen grains and fine flecks of wax: the signature of a honey that skipped the factory.
Why it's rare: French Polynesia banned honey imports in 2011 — not to sell more honey, but to protect its bees. These islands hold some of the last varroa-free colonies on Earth, and the entire territory harvests only about 200 tons a year. Every jar is single-island, raw, and independently lab-tested.
How to enjoy it: By the spoonful, on warm toast, or stirred into tea — the bees' liquid gold.
